Dr. PJ Vlok is a globally recognized expert in quantitative strategy, systems engineering, and physical asset management. With over two decades of experience spanning academia, industry, and innovation, he brings a rare combination of deep technical rigor and practical execution to the forefront of Gener8’s trading and investment systems.

Holding a PhD in Industrial Engineering with a specialization in failure modeling and predictive maintenance, PJ has developed and deployed pioneering methodologies across five continents. He has advised organizations like Shell, Chevron, Anglo American, and Georgia Pacific, and led system-level optimizations for governments, utilities, and multinational infrastructure clients. He is also the named inventor on a U.S. patent for residual life estimation of industrial equipment—a reflection of his lifelong dedication to engineering clarity and value extraction.

As the architect of Gener8’s proprietary trading desk, Dr. Vlok has created and refined algorithms that have demonstrated multi-year consistency in performance, all while balancing rigor, transparency, and risk intelligence.
